Turmeric Garlic & Chicken Sandwich

Not your average chicken sandwich, this recipe unites garlic, turmeric, black pepper, spicy mustard and hommus for a protein-packed, flavorful twist.

  • 1 4-6-oz organic chicken breast
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon garlic
  • 1 teaspoon avocado oil
  • 2 tablespoons Cedar’s Garlic Hommus
  • ½ cup organic spinach
  • 2-3 teaspoons spicy brown mustard
  • 2 tomato slices
  • 2 slices of sprouted wheat bread
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
Serves 1 Total 30-60 Minutes



  1. Heat oven to 375 F.
  2. Coat chicken in spices and avocado oil.
  3. Place chicken in oven and cook for 30-45 minutes depending on oven and thickness of chicken, flipping once halfway through.
  4. Let chicken cool and prep sandwich.
  5. Toast your bread and layer hommus, mustard, spinach, and tomato on one slice. Top the other slice with more hommus and your chicken.
  6. Slice in half and enjoy!
