Our Employees

Our family of employees always have a seat at the Cedar’s table. We’re here to listen to them, support them and champion the causes they care about.

The Heart of Cedar’s: Our Employees

It’s about time you met! After all, it’s our employees who make it possible to produce over 2 million pounds of hommus each week. From the mixers and pasteurizers who carefully bring our original family recipe to life, to line teams who test, pack and label our products; from technicians, forklift operators and sanitation crews, to team members who drive, deliver and stock store shelves; from our dedicated staff who run our offices, to everyone who keeps them clean — it’s their hard work, and heart, at each and every step ensuring you get to Know Better Hommus. Each month, we will introduce you to member of the Cedar’s family so you can get to know us better.

Cortellis Victor

Sanitation Supervisor

When Cortellis Victor was called into his supervisor’s office at Cedar’s, he was nervous he’d done something wrong. Much to his (pleasant) surprise, he was actually being called in to receive a promotion! Now a Sanitation Supervisor, Cortellis has been a member of our Cedar’s team since 2016, when he started out as a Filler Operator. A fan of our Roasted Red Pepper Hommus, Cortellis likes to spend his free time cooking and building racecars.

Our Community

Ever since we put down roots and started Cedar’s almost 40 years ago, our community has embraced us. Today, we’re committed to giving back to the local communities our employees call home and the communities our consumers care about. Each month, we will highlight a mission or organization we are partnering with to show our commitment to doing better and making a difference in these communities.

With a microloan of 5,000 Mozambican meticais (about $80.94), Leonor was able to buy more stock for the fruit and vegetable kiosk she’s owned and operated for the last three years. For now, her kiosk includes two tables of bananas and oranges outside of a shop, but she hopes to grow her business enough so that she can one day afford to move into her own shop.
