Falafel Salad Hommus Bowl

This one will bowl you over.
Serves 4 Total Under 15 Minutes


  • 1 8-oz container of Cedar’s Garlic Hommus
  • 3 tablespoons lemon juice

  • Pinch of sugar

  • 1 ½ tablespoons olive oil

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

  • 1/8 teaspoon cracked black pepper

  • 2 cups romaine lettuce, shredded

  • ½ of an English cucumber, quartered and sliced

  • ¼ cup red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup feta, crumbled 

  • 4 lemon wedges
  • 1 package of pitas, grilled
  • 8-12 falafel balls


  1. To prepare salad, pour lemon juice, sugar, oil, salt and pepper into a mixing bowl and whisk together. Top mixture with romaine lettuce, cucumber and red onion, and toss together.

  2. To assemble the bowls, scoop and spread Cedar’s Garlic Hommus into the bottom of each shallow bowl and top with some of the romaine mixture. Add 2 to 3 falafel balls to each bowl and finish with feta and lemon wedges.
  3. Serve with pitas.
