Chickpea Pesto

Chickpea Pesto … it’s the best-o!
Serves 3-4 Total Under 15 Minutes


  • 2 tablespoons Cedar’s Organic Garlic Hommus
  • 2 tablespoons nutritional yeast
  • 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 raw garlic clove
  • ½ cup walnuts
  • Juice from ½ of a lemon
  • 2 cups basil leaves
  • Pink salt and pepper to taste


  1. Roast walnuts at 400 °F for about 2-3 minutes, being careful not to burn. Set in the freezer to cool.
  2. Juice ½ of a lemon and add all the ingredients into a food processor or blender and mix. Mix until smooth or leave a little chunky, based on preference.
  3. Spread over pasta or quinoa, or serve as a dip.
