Chickpea Pesto

Serves 3-4
Total Under 15 Minutes
INGREDIENTS
2 tablespoons Cedar’s Organic Garlic Hommus
2 tablespoons nutritional yeast
2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
1 raw garlic clove
½ cup walnuts
Juice from ½ of a lemon
2 cups basil leaves
Pink salt and pepper to taste
DIRECTIONS
Roast walnuts at 400 °F for about 2-3 minutes, being careful not to burn. Set in the freezer to cool.
Juice ½ of a lemon and add all the ingredients into a food processor or blender and mix. Mix until smooth or leave a little chunky, based on preference.
Spread over pasta or quinoa, or serve as a dip.
