Savory Seasonal Vegetable Galette

Rustic sweet and savory flavors of fall hugged in a golden crust? Yes, please!
 

INGREDIENTS

  • pie crust

  • acorn squash

  • 2 apples

  • 1 cup Cedar’s Artichoke Kalamata Hommus
  • 1 egg

  • 1 tablespoon sugar

  • sage

  • thyme

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  • salt

  • pepper 
Serves 4-6 Total Over an Hour

DIRECTIONS

  1. Thinly slice acorn squash and apples and toss with olive oil, salt, pepper, sugar and finely chopped herbs.
  2. Roll out pie crust onto parchment-lined baking sheet.
  3. Fill center of dough with a layer of Cedar’s Artichoke Kalamata Hommus and top with squash and apple mixture.
  4. Fold edges of dough around filling to make a rustic tart.
  5. Brush the crust with a beaten egg and sprinkle with sugar.
  6. Bake for 55 minutes at 400 degrees F.
